Rumi & The Sufis ☆ Lifeline

I’m crashing into walls not coming through
never sing a song I write in tune
lady on the line she cares or so she swears is she for real or am I the fool
Frustration takes it’s course and ink hits the paper forced hand will I run dry or lose my mind  before I’ve spent my lifeline

Reflection never got me very far
Maybe I was trying way to hard
Sometimes I just give up and let the chips all fall but it won’t last long no not at all
I’ll follow signs forever to end this blind endeavor will i run dry or lose my mind before i’ve spent my lifeline

Falling into fragments of my life falling short of my pretentious hype sometimes i just give up and let the chips all fall but it won’t last long no not at all
Oh when she says i’m special
maybe i’ll come out of my shell will i run dry or lose my mind before i’ve spent my lifeline before i spend my lifeline
