I remember when rock was young

Me and Suzie had so much fun

holding hands and skimming stones

Had an old gold Chevy and a place of my own

But the biggest kick I ever got

was doing a thing called the Crocodile Rock

While the other kids were Rocking Round the Clock

we were hopping and bopping to the Crocodile Rock

락이 탄생한지 얼마 안되었을 때를 난 기억하고 있어.

나와 수지는 손을 잡고 아주 좋은 시간을 보냈었지.

조각한 돌은 오래된 골드 Chevy(시보레)와 나만의 장소를 가져다 주었어.

하지만,날 가장 자극했던건 Crocodile Rock(크로커다일 락)이라고

불리는 음악을 하는것이였어.

다른 아이들은 Rocking Round the Clock(락킹 라운드 더 클락)을 했었는데,

우린 Crocodile Rock(크로커다일 락)에 맞추어 춤을 추었지.

난 내게 앞으로 이보다 더 좋은 시간은 없을거라는 생각을 했어.

수지가 그녀의 드레스를 꼭 쪼여입고,

그리고 Crocodile Rocking(크로커다일 락)이 멋있었을때는,

Lawdy mama 금요일밤 같았어.

But the years went by and the rock just died

Suzie went and left us for some foreign guy

Long nights crying by the record machine

dreaming of my Chevy and my old blue jeans

Learning fast as the weeks went past

we really thought the Crocodile Rock would last

하지만 몇 년이 지나서 락은 완전히 죽었어.

수지는 우리를 남겨두고 어떤 외국넘에게 가버렸어.

나의 Chevy(시보레)와 오래된 블루진에 대해 꿈을꾸며,

음반을 틀어놓고 긴밤을 통곡했어.

하지만,사람들이 우리가 가졌던 Crocodile Rock(크로커다일 락)에

불타 올랐던 추억을 없애 버리지는 못할거야.

몇주가 지나가서 알게된건,

우린 Crocodile Rock(크로커다일 락)이 정말로 영원할거라고 생각했다는거야.
