제가 해석을 해봤긴 해 봤는데…
함축적의미가 많은 것 같아서..뭐가뭔지 앞뒤가 맞지도 않고..

난 우연히 창문을 넘는걸 봤어

I swear it was brighter than hell
지옥보다는 더 환하겠지..

(i swear-난 맹세하다는 굳이 해석 안해도 됩니다. 외국애들의 오버하는 버릇입니다.)

Man, I saw a light through the window
이봐, 난 창문에서 새어나오는 불빛을 봤어

It was hovering above The house next door
옆집 대문에서 계속 빛이 일렁였거든

* I froze
난 얼어버렸지

I froze like a stone
난 돌처럼 굳어버렸어

All alone
모두 혼자야

I swear my hair stood up
머리가 쭈삣주삣 서는 기분이었어..

And I said a prayer to end all prayers
기도가 모두 끝날때까지 계속 난 기도했어

I reached for the phone
공중전화부스에 이르렀지

But the phone was dead
근데 전화기가 고장난거야

Next the glowing ball turned red
공이 달아올라 벌겋게 변해버린 (더러운) 기분..

(미국에서 쓰이는 일상의 비유같은 겁니다, 무척 심한 낭패감을 느꼈다는 뜻)

And a voice inside my head
머리 속에서 한 외침이 들려왔어

Said, “Boss(Fred), go on back to bed
“보스(프레드), 집으로 돌아가자”

(침대가 있는 편안한 집으로 가자는 얘기)

연인에 대한 사랑을 억누를 수 없는 것처럼..
